REFUGEE EMPOWERMENT IN Iran

Zakat Foundation™ is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing aid and assistance to those in need, including refugees. One of the countries that Zakat Foundation™ has been working to support refugees in is Iran.

Iran has a long history of hosting refugees, particularly from neighboring Afghanistan. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) estimates that there are around 3.5 million refugees and asylum seekers in Iran, with the vast majority coming from Afghanistan.
